Mixing in the Water Industry

12 November 2019, Chicheley Hall, Bucks, UK

Join a team of industry experts as we consider the latest advances and best practices in mixing.

About Mixing in the Water Industry

Mixing is a critical part of many of the most important water treatment processes.

We will follow the journey of water as it passes through a water treatment works, into the network, and on through to wastewater treatment, contemplating the greatest mixing challenges at each stage.

We’ll also be touring BHR’s labs, and enjoying refreshments and a networking lunch together.

Industry Expert Q & A

Leading experts in water industry mixing will be speaking on: ozone mixing; coagulation, flocculation & chlorine mixing; network mixing; reservoir mixing; wastewater mixing; & mixing for P-removal.

We’ll open the floor to questions after each concise talk.

Networking Lunch

Between water in the morning and wastewater in the the afternoon, we’ll have an excellent opportunity for networking over lunch.

There’s a choice to be made: contact us by 4 November via the form at the foot of this page and let us know if you’d rather have a sit down restaurant lunch in the room illustrated here, or have more time to talk and mingle with a working buffet in the Atrium.

Tour of BHR’s Fluid Engineering Labs

Following the afternoon wastewater mixing sessions, we’ll head over to BHR, for a guided tour of their Fluid Engineering Labs.

Book soon, as spaces for the tour are strictly limited – for safety reasons.

Venue: Chicheley Hall & BHR

We’ll be kicking off the programme at the Royal Society’s beautiful Chicheley Hall, a grade I listed country house tucked away in 80 acres of beautiful grounds, managed by the luxury hotel chain De Vere.

You can book a room for the night before and join us for breakfast (accommodation and breakfast are not included in the conference fees).

Please follow Chicheley Hall’s directions to get there on the day.

From there we’ll travel independently, approximately 10 minutes, to BHR Group’s labs on the nearby Cranfield campus, to see what water mixing experiments they have in their impressive fluid engineering labs.

For safety reasons the numbers that can tour the labs are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Please follow BHR’s directions to get there.
